As dogs age, they can get chronic illness. Our experience with our aging dog, Titan, was a neurological age-related acquired disorder called bilateral proprioceptive stall. Which simply means both sides of Titan’s body was affected equally (bilateral). “Proprioception” refers to knowing where the limbs are in relation to the environment, and having a “stall” means that the dog was slower to place his limbs accurately when walking. There are several treatments and medicines available, but it is not necessary that they will be effective on all kinds of dogs. Also, these medicines usually have a lot of side effects too which can lead to reduced functionality in a dog.

If you have a dog, you may have to spend a considerable amount of taking good care of him. You may have to feed him, bath him and walk him on a regular basis. And then there is the most important thing you need to do. We are talking about grinding the nails of your dog so it won’t hurt you while playing with you. It is not easy to grind a dog’s nails, especially the time of the day when they are hyperactive.
